The Grayslake Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to attend the Annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Festival on Friday, November 25th from 4pm -8pm. The Tree Lighting Ceremony starts at 5:30pm! Stroll up and down downtown listening to live madrigal carolers, stop into various shops and vendors on the street for cocoa, treats and holiday shopping, enjoy sleigh rides, visit the fine arts show upstairs in Village Hall and take the kids to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus! Other Activities taking place are as follows: Holiday Fine Arts Show & Sale:Visit the Grayslake Arts Alliance on the second floor of the Grayslake Village Hall from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. as they kick off the season with their annual Holiday Fine Arts Show & Sale. The show will feature hanging artwork, prints, and hand-made, one-of-a-kind items available for sale -- perfect for all of those people on your holiday gift list. The Grayslake Giving Trees:Stop by the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum to see this year’s Grayslake Giving Trees display! Local organizations have decorated trees to illustrate their mission or show this year’s theme: holiday music. The Heritage Center is open from 3-8 PM on Friday, November 25th. Votes will be collected through the end of the year. The Voices of Grayslake Singing Competition:Sponsored by the Grayslake Performing Arts Collaborative, the Voices of Grayslake is a community holiday competition celebrating the musical talents of our community members! Singers can submit videos to the Grayslake Performing Arts Collaborative Facebook page, introducing themselves and singing a version of “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire”, Oh Christmas Tree” or “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!” Submissions will close November 19th. The winner will perform at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 25th!
