Description
Featuring a live performance of a collaborative piece in conjunction with the Grayslake Performing Arts Collaborative incorporating music, dance, movement, spoken word, prose and poetry. Performance pieces were created by CLC faculty, CLC students, and community members.
A screening of dance performances from the community workshops sponsored by CLC's Performing Arts Community Engagement (PACE) program will be on display in the lobby before and after the performance and during intermission. PACE creates opportunities for cultural, social, and historical expression and preservation through community engagement in the performing arts activities.
Following the performance, participants from the Lake County@Work Community Writing Workshops will read nonfiction narratives, which will be recorded and turned into a CLC podcast or aired on Lancer Radio.
Refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase.
